bird watching
Although I have been interested in bird watching all my life it is only since January 2021 that I have taken it more seriously. I have bought myself a bird watching scope and now go out a couple of times a week. My favoured walking area is around Warsash shore. Generally I cover the area from the old School of Navigation along the shore past Hook scrape and the meander pool to Chilling Headhouse. Dependent on the time of the year I will also take in the TLC pony fields which are particularly good for passage migrants. Again depending on the time of year I will include Warsash woods.
Just lately I have been taking my camera as well - usually a Canon 7D with a 300mm 2.8 lens with a 1.4 convertor. The majority of my pictures are 'point and shoot' but occasionally ( as with the firecrest) more time and planning is involved. I will be adding various images as the opportunity arises.
I have also been looking through many backed-up files on my hard drives and will be adding some of those as well.
