A friend of mine who runs a pheasant shoot invited me along on a non-shooting day to try and photograph the hares. I was in a narrow strip of woodland watching two hares boxing, unfortunately too far away for a really good shot, however when they finished they walked, separately, towards me. I was leaning with my back to an oak tree and held my breath taking shot after shot until they were so close I had to pull my 400mm zoom lens back!
